GoSports was founded in 2006 by Nandan Kamath, Hakimuddin S. Habibulla and Joseph Ollapally.
Nandan Kamath
Nandan is a graduate of Harvard Law School, the University of Oxford (on a Rhodes scholarship) and the National Law School of India. He was an avid cricketer at the junior level, representing the India under-16's and captaining the Karnataka state team.
Previously, Nandan was an associate in the corporate and intellectual property groups of Davis Polk & Wardwell, a leading international law firm, working in California, Hong Kong and India.
Zafar is the Athlete Manager at GoSports. Zafar completed his sports management degree at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia – an institution that is world renowned for its exacting and highly demanding sports curriculum. His sporting interests include golf, cricket, swimming, horse-riding and soccer. He has previously worked for Procam International in Bombay, and his role at GoSports involves the overseeing of all the athletes’ careers and related management issues.
Hakim represented India in swimming at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He first swam for the Indian Senior team at the SAF Games when he was 14. Hakim was the National Champion in the 200m Freestyle for 4 consecutive years and held the National Record and the SAF Games Record in this event for 6 years. In 1995, he was awarded the Ekalavya Award by the State of Karnataka for his sporting achievements. He completed his Electrical and Electronics Engineering from B.M.S. College of Engineering, Bangalore and, prior to founding GoSports, was with Tata Consultancy Services Limited as an IT Analyst.
Samyukta is the Communications Manager for GoSports. Samyukta has a Bachelor's in Psychology from Furman University in the US, and has previously worked for Universal McCann at their New York and Bangalore offices.
She is an avid sports fan who closely follows tennis and cricket. Samyukta manages the communications, press and public relations of GoSports' athletes as well as other corporate communications projects.
